Newark Wayne Community Hospital is a full-service hospital that provides high quality medical care using state-of-the-art equipment. It is associated with the Rochester General Health System, is a designated New York State Department of Health Stroke Center, and provides excellent care in all other areas, included, but not limited to cardiac care, emergency services, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, surgery, orthopedics and rehabilitation.

In 2014, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital was recognized by the Joint Commission for attaining and sustaining excellence and in 2019, the hospital achieved Magnet status, a distinction from the American Nurses Credentialing Center that recognizes nursing excellence. Only 6% of hospitals nationwide have achieved Magnet status, and even fewer are small, rural hospitals such as Newark-Wayne.  In addition, the ICU unit received Gold Beacon Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, one of only 16 Gold Beacon Awards in New York State.
